Light guide panel is caled LPG by its short name, it is actually a specifal acrylic panel ,but can refract light very even.So LGP is one very import part of LED light boxes. By using these LGP ,the light tha is illuminated by these LED stripes can refracted very well ,no dark and no dot,so that your graphic or poster displayed in a modern way.
In order to refract the light illuminated by LED stipes ,we usually need to proceed with these LGP,that by adding round dot or rectangle grid,so that the light that illuminated by LED stripes installed on the two sides can be cotinually into the centre.
Basically ,there are two technique on these dot and grid.
One is silk scree grid ,which is not ordinary grid ,but the material of silk screen is actually one kind of illuminated oil ,so the light from led strips on two sides can be one row by one rwo ,to the cente. By this technique ,it is cheap way ,but as the silkpriting oil is chemetical material ,so as it is used ,the light that is conveyed or refracted into the center are worse and worse ,in the end ,there would be much dot or mark in the center . Or even the light on the whole led lightboxes would be very dark.
Due to this fact ,so now we are using another way ,that is laser dot.
As the name of word ,laser dot means cut many very small dot by laser engraved ,which is very great to refract the light from LED stripes ,and also can greatly assure the light on everywhere is the same bright. What’s more ,by laser dot,the brightness of led light would last for a very long time ,it wouldn’t get worse as time ,so much better than the technique of silk screen. But the cost of laser dot is much more than that of silk screen on the production and labor cost.
However ,more and more people prefer the LGP proceeded with laser dot than silk screen ,in the consideration of its cost performance.
